Jay Orlin, LMFT

PSYCHOTHERAPY

Jay’s experience as a therapist is anchored in 45 years of being continuously licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist. He also managed Two Drug Crisis Centers and a Suicide Prevention Center.

“I build trusting therapeutic relationships by working in a personal and spontaneous way, often using my own life experiences when it serves clients. Each engagement is unique and I tailor our work, not by fitting you into a model, but by creating something unique every time. My deep understanding of complex work environments is often helpful with clients dealing with that kind of stress.”

ORGANIZATIONAL CONSULTING & COACHING

Jay’s background in organizational consulting comes from managing training at Intel, Nortel, Tandem, Altera, and Phillips. During those years, he provided therapy in evenings and on weekends.

“I enjoy creating performance improvement* and training strategies, delivering team-building programs, and providing individual coaching for leaders.”

Some past business consulting clients are: Cisco, Pac Bell, Bayer, Gilead, Hewlett Packard, Avery Dennison, and Oracle. He also served Schools, and social organizations.

*Performance Improvement engagements involve extensive research; interviews, observation, and documentation reviews that result in a set of actionable recommendations.
